COVID 19 Has Changed
College Admissions

COVID-19 has changed the world of college admissions, college visits, standardized testing and the number of students enrolling in school. The best advice is to take action now, remain positive and follow these suggestions.

1. Research colleges online that may interest you. Look at their web sites, take a virtual tour, read the resources available. Check out their social media options to connect with others and ask questions. CampusTours, YouVisit, and eCampusTours.com feature 360 views and virtual reality tours.

2. Start a financial plan. Set money aside in a 529 college savings plan, be familiar with financial aide options and scholarships.

3. Stay academically strong. Keep up your GPA and take as many advanced classes as possible.

4. If you are learning virtually, take advantage of online classes to learn a new skill or enhance your own talents and interests.

5. Keep updated on ever-changing admission requirements.

6. Keep up with extra curricular activities.

(Testing requirements have changed. Make sure to check each individual college to see if standardized testing is optional or mandatory.)
